About our Client

As a well-established multidisciplinary civil contractor, our Tier 2 contractor client is emerging in the WA mining sector with a growing portfolio of civil and mining clients, and is primed for a consistent period of growth.

With an exciting project award in the Pilbara working for RTIO as the client, we are actively recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with an extensive bulk earthworks, drainage and/ or dewatering.

About You

You will have extensive experience working within the Australian mining sector, with strong track record in bulk earthworks on mine site projects.

We are specifically looking for senior civil engineers who can fulfil the following criteria:

  • Tertiary Qualified (Civil or Construction Management or equivalent)
  • 5 – 8 years relevant industry experience working in civil construction
  • Demonstrated experience working in mine infrastructure projects such as tailings dams, bulk earthworks, and/ or roadworks.
  • Sound project scheduling, cost control, and reporting capabilities
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Willing to work on a 2/1 roster (30% uplift)
  • You must be in possession of valid working rights for Australia
  • Current Rio Tinto inductions are advantageous

Please note that our client is seeking Project Engineers with significant exposure to hard-dollar contracting and a deep practical understanding of working for civil contractors.

Salary + Benefits

This is a permanent and ongoing position, and salary is commensurate with experience.  The guideline for salary is $160,000 - $180,000 + Super, with 30% uplift. Flights, Meals and accommodation whilst on site provided by the employer.
