Hands-On Role | Early Starts | Family-Owned Business

Something Nice Foods is a long-established, family-run meat processing business based in Mortdale, NSW. For more than 70 years, we've built our reputation on delivering high-quality meats and exceptional service to wholesale and retail customers throughout the St George region and beyond.

We are currently seeking an experienced Butcher to join our production team. If you're passionate about quality meat, skilled in sausage production, butchery and looking for a stable, full-time role with early starts and early finishes – we'd love to hear from you.

Location: Mortdale, NSW

Hours: Monday to Friday | 4:00 AM starts

Type: Full-time | On-site

Key Responsibilities

  • Butchering and processing meat for production requirements
  • Hands-on sausage making using sausage filling machines
  • Boning beef and lamb
  • Portion cutting
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in work areas
  • Working efficiently within a production team to meet daily targets
  • Order packing and labeling
  • Assisting with general factory duties as required

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in butchering
  • Proven experience in sausage making and use of sausage filling machines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Physically fit and able to work on your feet
  • Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
  • You must already be living in Australia with full work rights
