Zambezi Meats operates 2 butcher stores in Engadine and Helensburg NSW.

We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our friendly and hardworking team in a dynamic food-focused environment The successful applicant must be flexible enough to work at both locations, demonstrate outstanding organisational abilities and possess superior customer service skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Stock Management including ordering & shrinkage control
  • Precise cutting & portioning of meat
  • Continuous product innovation
  • Prepare retail displays & merchandising
  • Meat packaging and quality control
  • Comply with HACCP & food safety protocols

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Be a qualified butcher by trade
  • Have previous experience in butchery management
  • Have strong knife skills and high attention to detail
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be passionate about food and cooking
  • Be customer focused and always striving to deliver the best customer service.
  • Be self-starter, reliable, team focused and able to work under pressure
  • Have a high standard of personal presentation and cleanliness
  • Be able to make the most of every sales opportunity
  • Have full Australian work rights
