Butcher Apprenticeships

We're looking to train and develop people that want a career in the meat industry as butchers. At Harris Farm Markets butchers, you will develop the discipline and experience necessary to become an exceptional butcher learning from Australia's finest.

With partnerships spanning over 15 years, we actively visit supplier farms to support them and ensure we deliver world class products to our customers. Our close relationships with suppliers allow us to ensure ethical and sustainable practices are used from paddock to plate including breeding, lotting, abattoirs, transportation and carcass breakdowns.

Our butchers are first class and pride themselves on delivering amazing cuts, prepared products with exceptional customer service. We always want to go that little bit further for our customers.

What you will learn and develop skills in:

• Excellent customer service including cash handling

• Constantly fill the cabinet and replenishment trays

• Prepare sausages, burger patties and kebabs

• Breakdown of carcasses (lamb & pork)

• Cutting & trimming meat

• Value adding through innovative and ambitious product development

• Maintaining safe, clean and hygienic environments at all times

o Pest control book

o Daily cleaning report

o Temp checks

Required Skills & Experience
