About the role
In this leadership position, you'll directly lead three water treatment operational teams across the Northern, Blackrock, and Coastal Treatment facilities (including Portarlington, Anglesea, Lorne and Apollo Bay). Reporting to the Head of Treatment, you'll be responsible for ensuring safety, and environmental compliance, plant performance, overseeing capital renewal projects and improvements.
Partnering closely with external specialists as well as internal stakeholders you will bring strategic thinking to this role, understanding the implications of performance-related treatment issues. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our water operations through strategic leadership and collaboration.
About You
You're a confident and capable leader with strong people skills with the ability to form trusted relationships. You're experienced in developing high performing teams, fostering a positive culture across your working group and the wider organisation.
With your technical background, you're methodical in planning, innovative in problem solving, a lateral thinker as you apply your knowledge to real world solutions. Communication of technical information will be a key strength and you're comfortable to challenge the status quo.
With a bachelor degree or higher in engineering (chemical, process or similar), or science, you'll be a dynamic technical professional with solid experience post-graduation, ready to take the next step into this leadership role.
