- January 2026 Start
- Excellent Career Development Opportunity for someone Passionate about Safety with skills in Systems
- Crows Nest and/or Ingleburn Location
- Be a part of our Safety Evolution across our busy Manufacturing Sites
At Real Pet Food, safety is at the heart of everything we do — because our people, our pets, and our products deserve nothing less.
After an exciting year rolling out HomeSafe across all our ANZ sites and building a dynamic Power BI safety dashboard, we're ready to take our next big step. We're looking for a proactive and technically skilled Health & Safety (HS) Systems Coordinator to join our National Safety Team and help shape the future of safety across our business.
In this role you will be the go-to for our Health & Safety (HS) systems, driving continuous improvement and performance across our manufacturing and corporate sites. Working closely with the Head of Quality & Safety and across the broader Health and Safety team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, embedding, and enhancing our WHS Framework, ensuring it's aligned to ISO standards and fully integrated across the Group.
You'll be our go-to person regarding safety system performance — developing dashboards, analysing data, and helping leaders make smarter, safer decisions through metrics that matter: hazards raised, corrective actions, audits, training compliance, engagement, and safety outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for HS Systems across the Group.
- Support the development and implementation of the Group HS Strategic Plan.
- Help design, develop, and maintain a Group WHS Framework aligned to ISO 45001.
- Lead the ongoing development and engagement of the DoneSafe HS Platform.
- Partner with HR and Training to deliver fit-for-purpose safety training programs.
- Track and report HS performance across sites using tools such as Power BI.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Support Real Pet Food's ESG and sustainability initiatives, helping reduce our environmental footprint while improving safety outcomes.
- Empower teams through accessible self-service HS information and tools.
- Partner with business leaders and staff to promote safety engagement and ownership.
- Provide expert advice and support on HS systems and ways of working across all sites.
What You'll Bring
You're a confident communicator, a systems thinker, and someone who enjoys influencing change through collaboration and data-driven insights. You take pride in helping others work smarter and safer.Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to implement systems and process changes and deliver training.
- Experience with DoneSafe (or similar systems) for compliance and reporting.
- Strong capability in Power BI and data analytics.
- Ability to influence, prioritise, and manage competing demands.
- Sound understanding of ISO 45001 and WHS regulatory frameworks.
- Technical competence across HS and system management.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience working across multiple sites, ideally including food or 'wet' manufacturing.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001/14001/18001 standards and data-driven safety reporting systems.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar HS Systems role — this isn't a management position, but it's a key role with real influence. .Diploma in OHS highly regarded
- Demonstrated project management skills to drive safety initiatives.
You'll join a passionate, down-to-earth team that genuinely cares — about safety, about our people, and about creating great food for pets everywhere. You'll have the autonomy to make your mark, the support of a collaborative safety community, and the satisfaction of seeing your work directly improve how we care for our teams every day.
If you're ready to support the next stage of our safety journey, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now and help us make Real Pet Food a safer place to work, one system at a time.
