Refrigeration Mechanic

AJ Baker & Sons are a fourth generation, family owned company, established in 1920 with branches throughout Australia. Located in WA, SA, NSW, VIC & QLD, we specialise in; supply, installation, service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning for supermarkets and other commercial businesses.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, suitably qualified and experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanicto join the Victoria Install team on a permanent fulltime basis.

You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with the installation team
  • Installation of plant, cases and all other equipment new and refurbished
  • Handover to the Service department
  • Preparation of commissioning documentation

To be a successful candidate, you will possess:

  • Permanent rights to work in Australia
  • Trade Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • Full ARCTick Licence
  • Restricted Electrical Licence
  • Driver's Licence
  • White Card
  • At least 5 years' experience with commercial systems post apprenticeship, supermarket experience preferred
  • Extensive experience working with commercial systems and controls
  • Strong work ethic working unsupervised and part of a team
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Exceptional problem solving ability
  • High level of WHS standards and safety conscious
