We're looking for friendly and reliable team members to join our IGA supermarket in a Cashier / All-Rounder or Night Fill Staff role.

Location:

IGA Ashfield

Role 1: Cashier / All-Rounder (You'll be the face of our store, providing excellent customer service at the register and helping across different areas of the store)

What you'll be doing

  • Operating POS systems, cash and card transactions
  • Delivering helpful and friendly service to every customer
  • Assisting with stock management (rotating stock to ensure freshness (FIFO)), receiving deliveries, and maintaining store presentation (pulling down and replenishing shelves with reserve stock)
  • Keeping the store clean, safe, and welcoming

What we're looking for

  • Previous supermarket or retail experience (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
  • A friendly, positive team player
  • Must be 18+ for cash handling responsibilities

This role is perfect for students or those starting out in retail who enjoy a fast-paced environment.

Role 2: Night Fill Staff (This role involves restocking shelves and maintaining high store presentation standards after hours)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries
  • Pulling down and replenishing shelves with reserve stock
  • Rotating stock to ensure freshness (FIFO)
  • Keeping aisles neat, safe, and well-presented

What we're looking for:

  • Reliable, punctual, and physically fit
  • Able to work evenings and weekends
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • No prior experience required – full training provided

This role is ideal for juniors, school leavers, or those starting their retail career.
