We are seeking a
Senior Architect
with strong
project delivery experience
to join our close-knit, energetic team in Norwest.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled architect who thrives in leading documentation, managing projects end-to-end, and mentoring others — all while contributing to the studio's growth into
commercial and high-rise developments
.

About the Role

You will:

  • Lead the
    project delivery
    of diverse projects, including luxury homes, childcare centres, NDIS housing, and community facilities.
  • Manage
    DA, CC, and CDC documentation
    , ensuring accuracy and compliance with
    NCC 2022
    ,
    BCA
    , and
    Australian Standards
    .
  • Coordinate consultants, construction documentation, and technical detailing with precision.
  • Mentor and support junior architects and drafters (up to four team members).
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with clients, consultants, and authorities.
  • Work closely with the Director to uphold Sami Design's commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and innovation.

About You

You are an accomplished professional who:

  • Has a
    minimum of 5 years of local architectural experience
    (registration not required).
  • Demonstrates
    strong technical knowledge
    of NCC 2022 Vol 2 — particularly
    Fire, Health and Amenity
    , and
    Section J
    .
  • Is proficient in
    Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel (formulas), and Microsoft Office Suite
    .
  • Excels in
    time management, accountability, and communication
    .
  • Enjoys mentoring younger designers and leading by example.
  • Brings enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a team-focused mindset.
  • Reflects Sami Design's passion for
    design excellence, sustainability, and biophilic design
    .
