About the Role
We're seeking a Manager - Placements to lead our dedicated placement team within the Faculty of Health, Community & Animals. This role is all about creating exceptional placement experiences for students and strengthening partnerships with healthcare providers, community organisations, and industry stakeholders. You'll ensure every placement is compliant, high-quality, and aligned with curriculum requirements-while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and optimise student placement processes across vocational and higher education
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry and community organisations
- Ensure compliance with accreditation, safety, and quality standards
- Use data and feedback to enhance student and host experiences
- Represent Box Hill Institute in external forums to expand placement opportunities
About you:
- Qualifications: Diploma or higher in business, project management, education administration, or a related field
- Knowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation, accreditation standards, and risk management principles
- Leadership Excellence: Proven experience managing diverse teams, driving high performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategies that improve service efficiency and enhance student and host experiences
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build lasting partnerships with industry, community, and internal stakeholders
- Operational Expertise: Experience in managing complex workflows, budgets, and compliance requirements within an educational or health-related setting
- Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional service and resolve issues promptly
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with placement management systems (e.g., InPlace) and data-driven decision-making
- Commitment to organisational values: curiosity, trustworthiness, and compassion.
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
