Position Purpose:
Responsible for managing the creative and operational processes that drive sync opportunities for Concord ANZ represented catalogues. This includes coordinating pitches, maintaining high standards in catalogue servicing, promoting the roster to domestic clients and international representatives, and assisting with new business development and client engagement initiatives. The Sync Manager works under moderate supervision from the Senior Director, Sync.
What You'll Do:
- Manages the sync creative process as required including, circulating and coordinating pitches to brief, reporting to our stakeholders, internal pitch record keeping and administration.
- Assists the Senior Director, Sync in implementing sync creative & marketing projects designed at promoting writers & repertoire for the purposes of securing sync placements.
- Promotes the ANZ roster to our sub publishers and international Concord offices, including generating increased international engagement and licensing opportunities for the Concord ANZ roster through regular communications with Concords international sync teams and sub publishers.
- Maintains all processes and functions of Concord ANZ music libraries and servicing of the catalogue, ensuring a high standard of data integrity and clear processes for staff to adhere to when uploading assets, sending playlists or marketing materials and updating mailing lists, with support from the Sync Licensing Coordinator.
- Coordinate and manage invitations to gigs and live events for clients and international counterparts, encouraging attendance that supports relationship-building and sync opportunities.
- Support the identification and development of new business opportunities by building relationships with potential clients, researching emerging sync markets and trends, and assisting in the preparation of pitches and proposals in collaboration with the team.
- Supports the Sync Licensing Coordinator in managing relationships across the Concord ANZ catalogue and sub publisher networks, assisting with the scheduling and delivery of music servicing to sub publishers and sync clients, and providing guidance and oversight in the creation of marketing communications.
- Represent Concord at external client meetings, events and conferences to increase brand awareness and build client networks.
- Oversees the procurement of all creative assets (i.e. audio, lyrics, biographies, press photos, etc.) for the Concord ANZ roster, as necessary for servicing and pitching creative content.
What you'll need to succeed:
- 5+ years in a music synchronisation environment with proven results in pitching and placing music across all media forms. Experience with music servicing software and or a publishing environment is a plus.
- Some experience negotiating synchronisation rights with contemporary knowledge of fee expectations in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
- Clear communicator with the ability to be personable and tactful when dealing with clients both verbally and in writing.
- Very organised with a strong administrative foundation and attention to detail.
- Excellent Word and Excel skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work efficiently across a number of different projects simultaneously.
- Ability to function as a coordinator of parts and people, keeping projects moving to gain desired results and meet set targets and timelines.
- An enthusiastic, proactive person, that takes initiative and can work within a team; is flexible and willing to pivot skills to new projects and business objectives when required.
