We're seeking an experienced
Contract/ Vendor Relationship Manager
to take ownership of key Facility Management (FM) and equipment service contracts — from building infrastructure to specialist machines and specialist contractors. This role combines commercial acumen with hands-on delivery, ensuring key suppliers perform safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards across hundreds of retail sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the performance and administration of multiple FM hard and soft services and asset service contracts, ensuring delivery meets operational, financial, and compliance targets.
  • Manage end-to-end contract lifecycles — including procurement, negotiation, mobilisation, variations, renewals, and close-out.
  • Oversee a diverse supplier base, including facilities, cleaning, refrigeration, and beverage equipment service providers.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders, operations teams and clients to ensure issues are resolved quickly and proactively.
  • Develop and implement clear scopes of work, service levels, and performance measures (KPIs / SLAs).
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on contractor performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, cost efficiency, and contractor engagement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory obligations across all contracts and works.

About You

  • Strong background in contract management, facilities management, or asset services, ideally in a retail, FMCG, or multi-site environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple vendors and contractors, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and day-to-day responsiveness, performance management and engagement.
  • Skilled negotiator with a practical understanding of FM contracts, procurement, and contractor KPI management.
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset — able to turn data into insights and actions.
  • Confident communicator, capable of building trusted relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and site teams.
  • Proficiency with Excel, FM systems, and contract management tools.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, facilities, or engineering (preferred but not essential).
