IT Engineer – Level 3

From humble beginnings NPS has grown to a national organisation with circa 200 staff. At NPS we provide high-quality services for industry, government, and water authorities with significant growth in emerging areas of digital metering and IoT device management.

This is a newly created role due to significant growth of the Company and reports in the Chief Financial Officer. The Level 3 IT Engineer provides advanced technical support and acts as the primary escalation point for IT issues. This role is responsible for managing relationships and projects, internally and with external IT service providers, ensuring compliance with organisational cyber security standards, and driving continuous improvement and efficiency outcomes in technology.

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Serve as the main technical escalation point for IT support queries

• Manage and oversee all IT projects and initiatives delivered by the IT service provider

• Provide oversight and quality assurance for the IT service provider helpdesk, monitoring service levels and user satisfaction

• Coordinate with IT Service Provider to ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests

• Lead and support the implementation of Essential 8 cyber security controls

• Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides

• Support internal IT/OT projects

• Support new office setup and own office technology in all locations, including meeting room setup

• Oversee all aspects of technology onboarding and offboarding, including device procurement and setup and user license administration

• Administer and maintain the Azure/Databricks data lake and related outputs/AI agents

• Assist in developing and ensuring compliance with organisational IT policies and security standards

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution

• Liaise with vendors and third-party support for advanced troubleshooting and procurement

With a strong grasp of cyber security, data systems, and modern technology tools, you're ready to play an integral role in supporting NPS's ongoing growth and innovation.

• Advanced technical troubleshooting and problem-solving

• Advanced SQL skills
