About the role

  • Hybrid and fully remote working arrangements available
  • 0.6FTE – 0.8FTE (flexible work arrangements available)
  • Fixed term to 31 January 2027
  • $90,999 – $93,845 (pro-rated) + 12% super + 17.5% annual leave loading + 5 additional days health/wellbeing leave

Working within the Prevention in Action Directorate, the Primary Prevention Program Officer supports universities and dual-sector institutions to take action to address the drivers of gender-based violence, and embed gender equality across their institutions, including implementation and project support of the Educating for Equality models and corresponding tools and resources. This includes delivery and coordination of training and engagement activities, resource development, and administrative and project management support.

About you

You will have experience in delivering capacity-building activities (trainings, facilitating workshops and webinars, etc.), including supporting organisational change and developing the capacity of others to implement evidence-based activities. You'll have excellent communication and administrative skills, and have demonstrated knowledge and behaviour to work with diverse population groups. Experience working in/with universities and/or TAFEs on promoting gender equality or diversity and inclusion is preferred.
