About us:

We are a not-for-profit aged, disability and community care services organisation serving the culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in metropolitan Sydney.

Overview of the role:

We are seeking a motivated Community Support Services Program Assistant to join our Day Centre Services team located in Parramatta. This is a part-time position.

Your duties:

  • Support the Program Coordinator with the daily operations of the Centre's services and community programs. This includes setting up equipment, preparing and engaging in activities etc,
  • Liaise with and support the Program Coordinator in managing client care plans, attendance, and onboarding, ensuring accurate and timely documentation,
  • Assist the Program Coordinator in planning and delivering programs across service streams, meeting program objectives,
  • Support volunteer recruitment, induction, guidance, and engagement to strengthen service capacity and community participation,
  • Support the Program Coordinator in liaising with local community organizations, service providers, and relevant government agencies,
  • Follow Work Health & Safety (WHS) practices and ACCA policies, promptly responding to client concerns, incidents, complaints, and hazards.

Your attributes:

  • Experience in working or volunteering in Aged Care, Community, Social or Disability Services,
  • Possess relevant qualifications in Aged Care, Community, Social, or Disability Services or willing to obtain such qualifications,
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn about Aged Care and Disability Services, including Home Care Packages (HCP), CHSP/CSS, SaH, NDIS, and quality standards,
  • Commitment to working with older people and people with disability, particularly within the culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities,
  • Can speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English,
  • Possess a national police certificate or willing to obtain one,
  • Possess unrestricted working rights in Australia.
