About the role

We are seeking a Part-Time Overnight, Hospital Medical Scientist to join our dedicated team within Subiaco, WA

Your role will be to participate in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, working as part of a dedicated team.  Working in a multi-disciplinary department including Haematology, Biochemistry, Transfusion and Stat Microbiology. Duties include specimen processing and reporting, maintenance of instrumentation and compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The preferred applicants will be flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision in a 24/7 rotating roster.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum
  • Relevant experience and qualification in Haematology, Transfusion and Biochemistry
  • High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team
  • Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills
  • The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services
  • Have own transport and be able to take part in weekend and overnight rosters including public holidays
