Medical Scientist

About the role

We are seeking a Part Time Medical Scientist for a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract to join our dedicated team within Osborne Park.

Your role will be to participate in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, working as part of a dedicated team.  Duties include general Biochemistry work including Quality Control, maintenance of instrumentation and equipment, validation of patient results and compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The preferred applicants will be flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum.
• Relevant experience and qualification in the discipline of Clinical Biochemistry, particularly in a diagnostic pathology environment.
• High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills.
• The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services.
• Have own transport and be able to take part in weekend and evening rosters including public holidays.
