About the Role:

Due to our ongoing growth we are looking for our newest team member to support our critical incident response service. The purpose of this role is to provide Critical Incident Response support (including critical incidents onsite response, planned support service, critical incident phone support) using the primary intervention models of Psychological First Aid and vicarious trauma prevention and mental health referral pathways. This role will also include the delivery of EAP counselling and Leadership Training and other counselling services as needed.

This will be a vital role to build relationships, grow our counselling team and deliver excellent counselling support to our clients.

About you

We are seeking motivated and experienced registered Psychologists, Social Workers or Counsellors to provide critical incident and crisis counselling support to our client organisations. Using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma specific interventions and approaches to support individuals and their organisations.

Key tasks:

  • Provision of Critical Incident Response counselling to workplaces

  • Delivery of mental health workshops and training programs both face to face and online

  • Support the development and growth of the digital mental health platform

  • Opportunity to be involved with new and innovative models of mental health and worker wellbeing

Required Skills
  • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Psychotherapy with a minimum Bachelor or Masters qualification

  • Minimum 3 years direct practice experience post-graduation

  • Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.

  • Registration with appropriate body - Registered Psychologist, Accredited Mental health Social worker or Clinical Social worker, PACFA Clinical registration, ACA level 3 minimum

  • Experience working from a trauma-responsive framework

  • Experience in Critical Incident Response or crisis response in an organisational context

  • Experience with risk assessments and/or mental health assessments
