FinXL IT is seeking a motivated Associate Business Analyst to join our growing consulting team, embedded within a leading financial services organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart or accelerate your career in business analysis, supporting the delivery of transformative business and technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and fuel innovation across the bank.

About the Role

As an Associate Business Analyst, you'll work alongside experienced Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Project Managers to help define business requirements, support solution design, and contribute to the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements from stakeholders
  • Support the analysis of business processes and help identify areas for improvement
  • Contribute to documentation including business cases, process flows, and functional specs
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and product owners to ensure solutions meet requirements
  • Assist in test planning and execution, including UAT support
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Support change management activities and stakeholder communications throughout project delivery
What You'll Bring
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
  • A genuine interest in banking technology, digital transformation, and continuous improvement
  • Some exposure to Agile practices and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) is desirable
  • Previous internship or project experience in a BA or tech-support capacity is a plus
