Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Special Education Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Working collaboratively with all members of the Leadership Team to enact the school vision and strategic plan, with a focus on inclusion.
Working collaboratively with all key stakeholders to build positive relationships that promotes and supports the learning and inclusion of students with additional needs.
Developing sustainable partnerships and maintaining positive relationships with and between: staff, students, parents, and external organisations.
Leading case management of students including the management of student behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing.
Leading curriculum in line with school and departmental initiatives, with a focus on best practice.
Tracking student outcomes and identifying trends in the areas of engagement, behaviour and effort, and developing support/intervention plans to promote student achievement.
Maintaining a high visibility and presence within the school community to support student inclusion.
Identifying and regularly acknowledging, the progress, efforts, achievements of students.
Embedding socially just practices in daily school life for students so no student is 'left behind'
