Car Detailer (Full-Time)

Carma Car Hire is a premium car rental and detailing business located near Melbourne Airport. We're expanding our team and are looking for an experienced, reliable Car Detailer who takes pride in high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service.

About the Role

This is a full-time position focused primarily on
maintaining an exceptional standard of interior and exterior cleanliness
across our fleet. The ideal candidate has previous detailing experience, strong attention to detail, and understands the impact that vehicle presentation has on customer satisfaction and reviews.

Alongside detailing, you will also assist with
vehicle maintenance checks,
vehicle handovers, check-ins/check-outs
via the Turo platform, and support guests with basic vehicle features.

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Detailing (Primary Focus)

  • Thorough interior cleaning (vacuuming, wipe-downs, plastics, windows, upholstery care)
  • High-standard exterior washes, drying, wheel & tyre cleaning
  • Identifying and reporting damage or issues before vehicles are released
  • Maintaining consistency and quality across every vehicle, every time

Customer Service & Handover Duties

  • Completing check-in/check-out through Turo (photos, inspection, documentation)
  • Greeting guests and providing smooth handovers
  • Assisting customers with basic vehicle features (e.g., CarPlay, charging for EVs)
  • Communicating professionally and clearly in English

General Operations

  • Keeping the warehouse, wash area, and storage spaces clean and organised
  • Supporting the team during busy periods

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has prior vehicle detailing experience (required)
  • Takes pride in producing consistently high-quality work
  • Has excellent attention to detail and can work independently
  • Communicates well and provides friendly, professional service
  • Is organised, reliable, and motivated
  • Has a valid driver's licence
