About the role
As Repairs Manager at SDB Byrne Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the company's day to day activities with the main focus of heavy transport trailer repair services. This full-time role is based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, and will involve leading a team of skilled trades people to ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standard.
What you'll be doing
- Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the repair team, including allocating tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Liaise with customers to understand their repair requirements and provide updates on the status of their orders
- Oversee the quality control process to ensure all repairs are completed to the company's high standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity
- Provide guidance and support to the repair team, including training and development
- Maintain accurate records of all repair activities and prepare reports for management
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience in a similar supervisory role within the trailer manufacturing, transport industry, or livestock/agricultural industries with a mechanical skillset.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the repair processes for a range of products
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both customers and team members
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to think critically and identify solutions
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Proficient in using relevant software and technology to support the repair process
