We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to coordinate accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general accounting functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth daily operations within our finance team.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Manage the end-to-end processing of invoices and payment request forms, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Validate invoices to ensure accurate coding, proper approval, and matching with purchase orders; promptly resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships by addressing and resolving invoice or payment-related queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Process weekly supplier payments via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or BPAY, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform thorough reconciliations of creditor statements against invoices, investigating and correcting any inconsistencies
  • Prepare and maintain Purchase Order (PO) summary reports and cost analysis reports to support financial oversight
  • Generate and distribute accurate invoices in a timely manner
  • Follow up on aged debtors and implement resolutions to manage and reduce outstanding balances
  • Compile and present monthly Debtor and Creditor Aging Reports
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for designated departments, including flights, accommodation, transport, and related logistics

A great fit for this role looks like

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience working in accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict financial deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 and Basware software (desirable)
