The role

The Hutchins School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet and Facilities Co-ordinator (Rowing) to oversee the maintenance, repair and organisation of rowing equipment and facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in boat repair and maintenance, as well as experience working with coaches and athletes to ensure the safe and effective use of equipment.

This is a permanent part time position with flexible working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of the rowing equipment, including boats, oars and other accessories.
  • Ability to tow boat trailers.
  • Co-ordinate the use of the boat shed with coaches and athletes to ensure that equipment is available when needed and stored properly when not in use.
  • Maintain a thorough inventory of all equipment and ensure that it is properly labelled and stored.
  • Manage the boat shed budget (with the Director of Rowing) and ensure that resources are used effectively and efficiently.
  • Train and supervise rowing shed staff in the proper care and maintenance of equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with coaches and athletes to identify equipment needs and develop plans for new purchases or repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations governing the use of rowing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organised boat shed that reflects the professionalism of The Hutchins School rowing program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
