UGL is seeking a proactive and field-savvy
HSE Advisor
to join our Telecommunications team, supporting the
NBN Ticket of Works program
across the
Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and Gold Coast
.

This is a mobile, field-focused role based out of our
Southbank, Brisbane office
, offering the opportunity to work across diverse civil environments and drive contractor compliance and environmental excellence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and mentor operational teams, focusing on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement management plans, risk registers, and SWMS.
  • Onboard contractors and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Partner with project teams to deliver safety initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct in-field inspections and audits across multiple regional sites.
  • Investigate HSE incidents using ICAM methodology and manage corrective actions.
  • Review and support environmental management plans and controls.

About You

  • 3–5 years' experience in high-risk industries, ideally civil construction or telecommunications.
  • Strong understanding of environmental controls and legislation.
  • Experience with ICAM investigations and internal auditing (highly regarded).
  • Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (mandatory).
  • General Construction Induction and valid Australian driver's license.
  • A proactive, energetic advisor ready to grow and make an impact.
