About the role

This full-time Import Operator - International Freight Forwarding position is a crucial role within the Eight Freight Pty LTD team based in Brisbane. You will be responsible for managing the import and customs clearance processes for a diverse range of international freight forwarding services.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating the import of goods and arranging customs clearance and delivery
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and freight partners to ensure on-time, efficient delivery
  • Preparing and processing all relevant import documentation
  • Maintaining accurate records and inventory management systems
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or delays in the import process
  • Providing status updates and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant customs, trade, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an import operations or freight forwarding role
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in using freight and logistics management software Cargo Wise
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team
