About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a FTE, permanent, School Finance Officer to join the Finance and Infrastructure team at Catholic Education South Australia (CESA). You'll be in a dynamic role providing support and guidance directly to schools.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to schools in developing, implementing and maintaining administrative and financial processes, internal controls, and procedures.
  • Implement established review processes to support audit preparation and end of year financial statements
  • Support operational training and induction for school staff on financial systems and processes
  • Providing relief services to schools during periods of leave or to meet other short-term demands
  • Provide guidance on the development of annual budgets and 9-year financial plans

About You:

You'll be a great fit within the School Finance Officer role if you have a customer centric approach, alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Qualifications in accountancy
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Experience in management accounting or school finance roles would be advantageous
  • Capacity to manage multiple competing priorities smoothly and thoroughly
  • Ability to deliver solutions with a flexible and adaptive approach to tasks

The successful candidates will be required to undergo our screening process, which includes a Working with Children Check, E-Screen, Applicant Declaration Form and RHAN.
