About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Duties
The Senior Asset Project Coordinator is responsible for the delivery, planning and control of the Department's major and minor capital projects including ensuring they are effectively managed in terms of approvals, timelines, procurement rules, risks and budget. The Senior Asset Project Coordinator will be required to review and provide expert advice and consultancy on business portfolio areas for the purpose of asset lifecycle and condition reporting. This role will provide support to corporate functions associated with compliance and management within the agency AGFMA arrangements. The incumbent ensures all identified risks and other issues (e.g. delays) associated with asset projects and critical services are appropriately reported and remedial action plans developed and implemented. The incumbent is required to support the Director in developing and finalising strategic standards for accommodation, design, security and ensures communication protocols are developed and implemented to meet the requirements of all stakeholders.
Special Conditions
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements;
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
- A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential;
- A flexible approach to working hours is required;
- Considerable interstate and intrastate travel will be required involving visits to prisons which may necessitate overnight absences.

Desirable: Qualification in Business, Finance, Administration, Management or a related discipline.
