**The Opportunity**
We have an opportunity for a Manager, Assets and Facilities to be part of our Corporate Services Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The primary purpose of the role is to be responsible for ensuring the assets, property and facilities match the changing business needs of PIRSA and its business divisions now and in the future. The role has a primary responsibility in supporting the Across Government Facilities and Assets Agreement.
The role contributes to the development of the strategic asset roadmap and project plan:
- Strategic and operational infrastructure planning and delivery.
- Management of the new across government assets and facilities contract for in scope assets as it pertains to PIRSA.
- Management of governance requirements for all out-of-scope assets under the current whole of government contract.
- Management and reporting against the current utilisation of assets across the agency
- Advice and support to regional office staff regarding strategic and coordinated facility development, preventative maintenance programs and the acquisition of capital assets.
- Providing string leadership to the team and ensuring capability enhancement of team members to meet future requirements.
- Strong procurement and contract management experience and performance reporting to all stakeholders and senior executive.
- Management of the centralisation of asset management.
- Development and coordination of a work plan across all sites for the team to manage and report against.
- Ensure a secure and safe environment for staff and their resources.
- Effectively manage properties and facilities projects to budget and time.
The role is responsible for delivery against:
- Strategic planning and management of all PIRSA’s assets through a centralised team.
- Operational management of PIRSA facilities
- Strong performance management of the contract for the Across Government Asset and Facilities services
Building capacity and capability in the team to deliver a coordinate, centralised response.

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Australian residency or current work permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit). Opportunity up to June 2026
- **Requirements**:
- Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive on regular basis.
- Some out of hours work, including emergency call-out may be required. After hours Building Management System (BMS) emergency monitoring through a home computer (supplied) is required and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
- You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
**Essential**: Qualifications in a technical field.
**Desirable**:
- Degree in Property, Asset Management, Facility/Trade and/or a trade Certificate in Trade.
- Training and/or experience in Asset Management, Property, Facility Management of a complex asset group.
- Managerial experience in leading a small team.
- Training/experience in managing substantial projects and contracts.
**Remuneration**
**ASO8 - $121,107 min - $125,679 max per annum, plus superannuation
