WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

We're offering an exciting ongoing full-time opportunity to join the Aboriginal Health Directorate as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner (Trainee). Based at Mount Barker Hospital, this role will support Aboriginal patients across hospital and outpatient settings, ensuring culturally safe care is embedded in everything we do. As part of your traineeship, you'll receive supervision and support while working toward your qualifications, gaining the experience you need to become a registered Aboriginal Health Practitioner.

You'll work within a strong Aboriginal Health Team that respects cultural knowledge, supports professional development, and is committed to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

  • You must hold Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care, or equivalent, or be Enrolled in Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice)
