What is our Hospital Service Assistant - Critical Care role?
The Hospital Service Assistant – Critical Care role works across the high-acuity settings of the Emergency Department, Theatre, and Intensive Care Unit. This position provides timely physical assistance to patients and assists other members of the multidisciplinary team under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This includes, but is not limited to, the safe transport of patients between wards/departments and within the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and operating suite in beds; assistance with transferring and re-positioning patients in the theatre suites; transportation of specimens from theatres to pathology, keeping the general Perioperative Services areas clean and tidy and ensuring basic equipment and stock are always available.

  • A detailed Resume which sets out your qualifications, capabilities and experience relevant to this position.

  • References - the names and contact details of two (2) referees. It is preferable for one of your referees to have been a recent supervisor.
