The Role

The Water Liaison Officer is a role within Financial Reporting and is accountable to the Manager, Financial Reporting, for the timely and accurate resolution of high-water usage queries in the SA Housing Trust (the Trust) properties.

You will analyse customer accounts, including property repairs, and raise new maintenance work orders to resolve the cause of high-water usage charges.

Undertaking the coordination of the flow of information from the Trust's Housing Officers, clients, and maintenance contractors, to determine the appropriate adjustment and compliance, ensuring all integrity within the clients' accounts.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide a high level of customer service to clients regarding their concerns with high water usage charges through clear communication and coordination of corrective action with Housing Officers and Maintenance Contractors.
  • Compare, analyse, and coordinate corrective action by investigating the past tenancy repairs history and raise new maintenance work orders, including follow-up and monitoring of corrective action undertaken by contractors.
  • Analyse client accounts relating to high water charges, and determine potential reasons for high water usage, investigate, and determine corrective action.
  • Clearly document analysis undertaken, and undertake standardised processes to ensure best practice is maintained.
  • Deliver timely responses to queries, provide expert advice and supply documentation to support action taken to resolve the query.
  • Undertake research, investigation, and compile data in response to requests for the Trust's records through Freedom of Information requests, Ministerial Briefings or as required.
  • Liaise with SA Water to raise any concerns regarding a particular property as required.
