Interfi builds core banking software used by ambitious lenders. Customer onboarding (data conversion) is one of the highest‑risk, highest‑impact moments in our work—and we're looking for a Conversion Specialist who thrives under pressure, loves untangling complex datasets, and can keep customers calm and confident through go‑live.


What you'll do
  • Lead end‑to‑end data conversions to onboard new customers onto Interfi platforms.
  • Design mapping rules and transformation logic from varied source systems into our target models.
  • Build and run SSIS packages and T‑SQL scripts to extract, transform, and load data across files and databases.
  • Profile datasets to spot issues early (duplicates, referential breaks, invalid states, outliers) and fix them before they eventuate.
  • Implement robust validation, balancing controls, and reconciliation packs (e.g., balances, transactions, schedules, fees, GL).
  • Troubleshoot defects quickly, isolate root causes, and deliver well‑documented fixes under time pressure.
  • Plan and execute dry runs and cutovers with disciplined run books, change control, and auditable evidence.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders; de‑escalate when onboarding gets emotional.
  • Support post‑go‑live hyper‑care and continuous improvement of our conversion playbook.
  • (Occasional) after‑hours/weekend activity for cutovers.

What you'll bring
  • SQL: T‑SQL mastery (DDL/DML), query tuning, indexing, set‑based thinking on Microsoft SQL Server.
  • SSIS pro: Hands‑on with control/data flows, parameters/config, logging, checkpoints, and deployment/operations.
  • Data modelling & analysis: Comfortable with complex relational schemas and hierarchical/file formats.
  • Financial data fluency: Ability to reconcile balances and transactions with high accuracy (finance domain knowledge a plus).
  • Troubleshooting mindset: Systematic root‑cause analysis and calm execution when stakes are high.
  • Customer empathy & communication: Confident running workshops, translating complexity, and navigating tense moments.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous documentation, evidence gathering, and change control.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Azure SQL/VMs and SQL Server stack (SSRS/PowerBi).
  • Scripting/automation with C#/.NET, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence and source control (Git/Azure DevOps).
  • Understanding of secure data handling and privacy obligations.
