Description
What We Are Looking For
Alice Springs Town Council is looking for a Corporate Governance Officer. In this role, you'll work across teams to support the implementation and administration of governance and risk frameworks, coordinate policy development and reviews, and help build ASTC's internal governance capability. You'll be part of a team that values integrity, transparency and helping others succeed. If you've got great written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail, an understanding of governance best practice, and a passion for making a difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you.

Skills And Experiences
What You Will Bring:
You bring extensive experience in governance, policy, risk, and compliance, with a strong ability to interpret legislation and apply frameworks that enhance organisational accountability. Known for your discretion and professionalism, you handle sensitive information with integrity. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allow you to deliver clear, tailored insights across diverse audiences. Highly organised and analytical, you manage competing priorities effectively and provide strategic, evidence-based advice. You also excel at building strong stakeholder relationships and are proficient in using Microsoft Office and digital systems to support efficient reporting and record management.
Must Have: Current National Criminal History Check
Please note: A current National Police Clearance, issued within the last six (6) months, is an essential requirement for this position.
