Tarremah is currently seeking a full-time Learning Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will be a teacher who is eligible to work in Tasmania and who can demonstrate experience in a Steiner classroom, with an ongoing commitment to further professional development in Steiner education. We are looking for a warm, friendly, caring, and creative person with excellent communication skills and an ability to relate to a wide cross section of people in a thoughtful and nurturing manner. The successful candidate will join our Student Support Team sharing responsibilities to teach small and larger groups of students, liaising with appropriate support agencies, consulting and collaborating with teachers and teacher assistants.

For this position training and familiarity in Steiner pedagogy is highly desirable.  Duties will include planning, delivery and assessing in accordance with the curriculum and the specific learning needs of the students. Personal qualities should include an affinity with Anthroposophical ideas, a consistent approach to discipline, diligence in associated administrative tasks and a positive, adaptable nature. Demonstrable competence in working with colleagues and parents is also a necessary pre-requisite.
