The Role

Epworth Medical Imaging (EMI) is seeking a radiology administrator to join our team on a part time or full time basis at our Epworth Freemasons Hospital location. The role works on a rotating roster within the core hours of 7:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

The primary function of this role is to provide excellent and professional customer service to patients and referrers. EMI Freemasons is a dynamic environment with opportunity to expand your skills and work in an array of zones within the department. Duties include answering incoming calls, arranging bookings for patients, taking payments, and liaising with the hospital to arrange inpatient appointments. The administration team contributes to the overall performance of the department, ensuring consistency with Sonic Healthcare's core values. We are looking to bring someone on board to grow with our business.

Key selection criteria

  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Relevant health administration experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills using phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
  • Willingness to take initiative and problem-solve.

Desirable

  • Certification in medical terminology / medical administration.
  • Previous radiology experience.
  • Experience working with a high volume of incoming calls.

Epworth Medical Imaging

Epworth Medical Imaging (EMI) is part of the Sonic Healthcare network, providing high quality imaging services to both Epworth Hospital locations and the wider community.

EMI employ approximately 250 highly skilled radiologists and staff, providing angiography, interventional procedures, bone mineral densitometry (BMD), computed tomography, dental X-Ray (OPG), general X-Ray, MRI, 3D & contrast mammography, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound.
