Referrer Support Officer – Radiology Victoria

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Referrer Support Officer to join our dynamic team at Radiology Victoria. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless experience for our referrers and their patients. This full-time, ongoing role has the flexibility to be based at one of the following sites - CBD (Bourke St), Ashburton, Burwood East or Wantirna. The role is Monday to Friday working business hours.  We are looking to bring someone on board long term to grow with our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate doctor portal setups and troubleshoot image access
• Arrange and distribute referral pads and stationery to referring clinics
• Assist with the electronic download setup of radiology reports
• Set up and troubleshoot access to our patient portal
• Liaise with internal teams and external clinics about image transfers
• Set up new referrers/doctors in our system
• Configure and manage report delivery settings for referrers
• Communicate with internal IT teams

Key selection criteria

• Excellent IT skills preferably experience with working with healthcare IT systems.
• Relevant health administration and customer service experience.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to problem-solve.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills using phone, email, and face-to-face communication.

Desirable

• Previous radiology experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, or medical imaging systems
• Certification in medical terminology / medical administration.

All training will be provided on the job.
