Internal Sales Respresentative – Steel Plate Profiling

Location: Pooraka, SA

Company: Ferrocut (Southern Steel Group)

Ferrocut is South Australia's leading steel plate profile cutting specialist, supplying precision-cut steel solutions to the mining, engineering, agricultural, defence, tooling, and manufacturing sectors.

We are seeking a customer-focused Internal Sales Representative to join our team in Pooraka. This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, quoting, and providing technical support, while working closely with production and customers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer enquiries and provide product/application recommendations
  • Prepare quotes and estimates for laser, plasma, oxy and bending jobs
  • Read and interpret drawings to determine material and processing requirements
  • Manage customer orders, pricing and account communication
  • Liaise with programming and production teams to ensure on-time delivery
  • Identify opportunities for customer growth and repeat business

About You

You will bring some or all of the following:

  • Experience in internal sales, estimating or customer service (steel or fabrication industry preferred)
  • Ability to read mechanical/engineering drawings (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple tasks
  • Computer literacy (CRM/ERP systems + Microsoft Office)
  • Team player mindset with attention to detail
