About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant / Management Accountant to manage and report on the organisation's financial performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing trends, and providing insights to support decision-making. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and informed financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments to forecast future performance.
- Provide advice on resource utilization, tax strategies, and budgeting assumptions.
- Report on the organisation's finances to management and recommend process improvements.
- Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Potentially lead or guide junior staff and support team development.
About You
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. You will be comfortable interpreting complex financial data and presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 4–6 years' experience in financial or management accounting, preferably in corporate or public sector environments.
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
