About the Role:

We are seeking CASUAL support workers to work in the North Lakes area, that are dedicated to working in the disability sector and possess excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidates will be able to build trusting relationships with participants and provide support that enables them to thrive.

At RCS we are committed to the success and independence of our participants. As a support worker, you will play a vital role in implementing this commitment by delivering support that fosters independence, dignity, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empowering and Personalised Support: Understand the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each participant, tailoring support to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Skill Development: Assist participants in developing strategies to enhance their independence and life skills, empowering them to live fulfilling lives.
  • Community Engagement: Encourage social interaction and foster meaningful connections, helping participants feel a sense of belonging in their local communities.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of participant progress, incidents, and areas requiring focus. Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure quality support.
  • Safety and Well-being: Follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents, respond to emergencies, and manage challenging behaviours with care and professionalism.
