Casual Support Worker - Job Readiness & Employment Coaching

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and proactive **Casual Support Worker** to assist NDIS participants in preparing for and securing meaningful employment. This role involves one-on-one support to build job readiness skills, provide job coaching, and assist participants in navigating pathways to employment, whether in supported or open market settings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support NDIS participants in developing job readiness skills such as resume writing, interview preparation, time management, and workplace communication.
- Provide tailored job coaching and mentoring based on individual goals and support plans.
- Assist participants in identifying suitable employment opportunities in both supported and open employment markets.
- Liaise with employers, employment services, and training providers to facilitate job placements and work experience opportunities.
- Monitor participant progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of participant goals, progress, and outcomes.
- Promote independence, confidence, and self-advocacy in participants throughout their employment journey.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Experience working with people with disability, preferably within the NDIS framework.
- Strong understanding of employment pathways and job readiness strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

**Desirable**:

- Qualifications in Disability Support, Community Services, Employment Services, or a related field.
- Experience in employment services, vocational training, or job coaching.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

- Australia (required)

**Location**:

- North Lakes QLD 4509 (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
