About the Opportunity

As the SHEQ Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing all safety operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient management of SHEQ processes across the business. Serving as the manager of all safety operations, you will lead a team of safety supervisors across all sites.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your role is crucial to maintaining the company's commitment to safety and environmental responsibility. Your focus will be on driving a positive SHEQ culture and ensuring operational excellence, including:

• Leadership & Culture:
  Managing, mentoring, and supporting the team of Safety Supervisors and consistently promoting a positive safety culture across all staff.

• Compliance & Audits:
  Driving compliance across all company safety standards, carrying out internal audits, and facilitating external system audits.

• System Implementation:
  Supporting the implementation of the safety system across all sites and providing training to operational teams on system utilisation.

• Incident Management:
  Motivating a culture of timely Incident reporting and investigation, maintaining the Incident register, and reporting serious incidents to senior management.

• Reporting:
  Providing comprehensive monthly progress reports to the Environmental Manager and CEO.

• Continuous Improvement:
  Promoting teamwork and supporting continuous process improvements across all staff.

Skills & Experience to Succeed

The ideal candidate for this senior management role will possess:

• A minimum of 10 years of SHEQ experience in Safety.

• A minimum of 3 years of proven leadership experience managing teams.

• Formal Qualifications: Certificate IV in WHS (essential) and ICAM Lead Investigator Training (essential).

• A valid Driver's License and Industry Job Safety Card.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a capacity to handle tasks with accountability and discretion.
