We're seeking a SQL Server DBA to manage daily database operations, support modernisation initiatives, and ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across SQL Server environments.

What you'll do:

  • Respond promptly to DBA support tickets and service requests.
  • Perform daily SQL Server administration: monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with database modernisation activities and cloud integrations.
  • Monitor and optimise database performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with application teams and end users to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
  • Provide clear updates and technical guidance to stakeholders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, offering advice and best practice recommendations.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA in operational support roles.
  • Proficient in T-SQL and scripting for task automation.
  • Strong skills in daily administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery (Always On, Clustering, Mirroring).
  • Skilled in SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS integration/support.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-directed, accountable, and effective in client-facing environments.
