What you'll do

You'll be part of the
core DBA function
ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability across production and non-production databases. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and maintaining Oracle 19C production databases.
  • Performing proactive health checks, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Managing
    backup/recovery, configuration, patching, refresh/restore, expdp/impdp, and Data Guard (physical) activities
    .
  • Handling user tickets and supporting code deployments.
  • Installing and configuring DBMS environments.
  • Providing documentation, input for process improvements, and collaborating with onshore/offshore DBA teams.
  • Contributing to a
    mission-critical, 24/7 environment
    , while your main hours will be
    8:30am-5:30pm
    .

What you bring

We're looking for someone with strong Oracle DBA fundamentals and the drive to work on
enterprise-scale systems
.

Essential:

  • 4+ years' experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Production environment expertise with Oracle 19C.
  • Strong skills in Data Guard, database clustering, replication.
  • PLSQL & shell scripting proficiency.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • To be eligible for this role, you must be an
    Australian Citizen or holding a current Baseline Security Clearance
    .

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Cloud exposure (Azure).
  • Oracle GoldenGate.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
