**AYAN InfoTech** is looking for **SQL Database Administrator** to join an exciting project based in **Sydney**. The role offers you the opportunity to contribute towards an extremely well structured and mature environment, working on sophisticated enhancement projects.

**Role**: MS SQL DBA/Database Administrator
**Location**: Sydney
**Contract Duration**: 12+ Months with high possible extensions
**Experience**: 7+ Years

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- 8 Years plus experience in the IT industry as a whole especially in technology led roles
- 5 Years plus experience as a MSSQL DBA and/or an Oracle DBA
- Experience working in the retail/banking domains would be preferred
- Experience managing software/systems contracts & commercials would be an added advantage
- DBA Hands on Knowledge: Strong exposure & technical knowledge pertaining to Oracle (19c and below) & MSSQL (2019 and below) Databases(on-prem & on the public cloud eg. Azure) to be able to pen down a database strategy & roadmap
- Experience with Cloud Databases: Example MongoDB Atlas, Azure SQLDB/MI, Azure Redis Cache, PostgreSQL PaaS etcVendor Management: Proven track record of managing complex vendor relationships especially around contracts, licensing, commercials etc.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written & verbal communication skills in order to influence and convince senior stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage key relationships with business stakeholders like Operations/Build/Business teams, clear roadblocks and drive issues to closure
- Risk Management: Identify and manage key risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies for the database portfolio
