Senior SQL DBA – 6 Months Contract | December Start

We’re seeking a SQL Server DBA to manage daily database operations, support modernisation initiatives, and ensure high availability, performance, and reliability across SQL Server environments.

What you’ll do:

- Respond promptly to DBA support tickets and service requests.
- Perform daily SQL Server administration: monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with database modernisation activities and cloud integrations.
- Monitor and optimise database performance, availability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with application teams and end users to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
- Provide clear updates and technical guidance to stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert, offering advice and best practice recommendations.

What you bring:

- Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA in operational support roles.
- Proficient in T-SQL and scripting for task automation.
- Strong skills in daily administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery (Always On, Clustering, Mirroring).
- Skilled in SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS integration/support.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-directed, accountable, and effective in client-facing environments.
