We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and resilient Disability Support Worker to support a participant with high-level personal care needs. This role includes daily assistance with personal hygiene, manual handling (including hoisting), medication administration (including suppositories), support with basic computer skills, and managing behaviours, including verbal aggression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality personal care and hygiene support, including toileting, showering, and grooming.
  • Perform safe manual handling practices, including hoists and other mobility aids.
  • Assist the participant with computer-based tasks such as emails, typing, and using applications.
  • Administer medications safely and in accordance with care plans, including suppositories, where required.
  • Manage and de-escalate incidents of verbal aggression in a calm, professional manner, using proactive behaviour support strategies.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice in daily routines and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and daily records.
  • Follow the participant's support plan, including behavioural and risk management strategies.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $33.96 – $38.00 per hour
