About Create NSW
Create NSW supports the people, places, communities, and creative work that shape the cultural life of NSW. Through investment, programs and partnerships, we help make creativity visible, valued and part of everyday life. Our work is guided by the NSW Government's Creative Communities policy and a commitment to a vibrant, inclusive and future-focused sector.
About the role
The Cultural Front Door Officer is the first point of contact for visitors and members of the creative community engaging with Create NSW. You'll provide a warm, professional concierge and reception service across phone, email and online channels, ensuring people can easily access the information and support they need. Your approach will help promote Create NSW's programs and make every interaction positive and straightforward.
You'll work closely with colleagues to share up-to-date, accurate information, resolve enquiries, and escalate more complex matters when needed. The role also involves helping people navigate forms and requirements, gathering feedback to improve services, and keeping a strong understanding of resources across both Create NSW and other government agencies. Throughout, you'll maintain high standards of confidentiality, privacy and service quality.

You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and you understand the importance of offering respectful and informed support, including an awareness of First Nations protocols and the needs of diverse communities. You also have a sound understanding of the creative and arts sector, enabling you to engage meaningfully with those who connect with Create NSW.
You are curious and proactive, keeping yourself up to date with new information, priorities, and developments so you can provide accurate guidance. You are digitally savvy and collaborative, you work well with others and adapt quickly when priorities shift. You also take the time to understand stakeholder needs and the creative sector more broadly, helping ensure every interaction is clear, responsive, and genuinely helpful.
