Work Health and Safety Officer – Construction

Location: Wetherill Park, Sydney

About the Role

As our WHS Officer, you will:

  • Lead and mentor site teams to embed safe work practices across all projects.
  • Manage WHS across multiple sites, ensuring proactive risk management and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in our WHS management system.
  • Maintain and oversee compliance with ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments with confidence and authority.
  • Deliver engaging safety training and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, provide recommendations, and implement corrective actions.
About You

You're not just ticking boxes — you're passionate about making safety a core part of everything we do. To succeed, you will bring:

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • A track record of managing WHS across multiple construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation and codes of practice.
  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (Diploma preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO management systems and audits.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Previous experience in education or health sector projects will be highly regarded.
