National WHS Manager – Lead HSEQ Across Australia

We are a well-established and expanding trade services provider, specialising in building, restoration and emergency works across the Insurance and Strata sectors. From fire and flood to storm damage and structural repairs – we deliver critical services that make a difference.

With operations spanning nationally, we're seeking a National WHS Manager to lead safety initiatives and shape a strong compliance culture across the group.


About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, you will be the key driver of our safety framework across Australia. You'll work closely with senior leadership, site teams and contractors to:

  • Review and enhance WHS frameworks and management systems
  • Deliver engaging Toolbox Talks and internal safety training
  • Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Monitor legislation updates and ensure compliance with NCC & Australian Standards
  • Support and coach internal teams and subcontractors on WHS best practice
  • Manage contractor compliance and implement effective risk controls
  • Lead board-level reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

This is a hands-on, national leadership role suited to someone who enjoys both strategic development and on-the-ground safety support.


What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Qualifications in WHS (Diploma preferred)
  • Construction background with solid on-site experience (3–5 years min)
  • Strong knowledge of National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and current WHS legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in site audits, hazard identification, and incident investigations
  • Ability to write and deliver engaging toolbox talks
  • A collaborative approach and confidence dealing with stakeholders across all levels
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights & driver's licence
  • Availability for national travel as required

Bonus points if you have:

  • A trade qualification
  • Internal Auditor and/or ICAM Lead Investigator certification
  • Understanding and champion of online safety software
  • Quality system experience
